Statement of Beliefs

WE BELIEVE the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
(2 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:19-21)

WE BELIEVE in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Jn 3:16; Acts 20:28)

WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and that those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word, and deed.
(Rom 1:18-32; 3:9-23)

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
(Heb 9:22; 1 Pet 1:18-20; Heb 10:10; 1 Pet 3:18)

WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
(1 Cor 15:1-20; Heb 7:21,25)

WE BELIEVE that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
(Jn 3:3-18; Rom 10:9,10)

WE BELIEVE in "that blessed hope," the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
(1 Cor 15:51-57; 1 Thes 4:13-18; Acts 1:11)

WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.
(Rev 20:4-6; Jn 5:28,29)

WE BELIEVE that baptism of the believer, is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in testimony of his faith in the crucified, buried and risen Christ, and in confession that the believer is to be dead to sin and risen to newness of life in Christ Jesus; and that the Lord's Supper is a commemoration of the Lord's death "till He come."
(Matt 28:19,20; Acts 8:38; Rom 6:10; 1 Cor 11:23-31; Lu 22:19-20)

WE BELIEVE in separation from religious compromise and apostasy in all its various manifestations including ecumenical evangelism and the charismatic movement.
(2 Cor 6:14-18; Jude 3-4; 1 Jn 2:15,16)
